SVS 34

29. OM BHOOTHADAYE NAMA:
Preferred Destiny of all living beings.

Swami Vedanta Desika says Aaradha arulamudam podindha koil. Koil in Sri Vaishnava sampradayam denotes Srirangam. [Similarly Thirumalai denotes Thiruppathi and Perumal koil denotes Kanchipuram]. Aradha = never diminishing, arul = merciful, amudam = Amrit or the Life saving Nectar - Sri Ranganatha.
Bhoothadi = without exception, all living beings or atma. He is liked by everyone. Aaravamudan. None despises Sri Krishna for all His mischiefs. Rather, everyone admires those. In Ramayana, when Dasarartha asked the assembly of his people, whether he could pass over the Reign in favour of Sri Rama, at once, spontaneously, all in a chorus, said that they wanted to see their Sri Rama, on the Coronation elephant in procession in the streets of Ayodya. Valmiki says Sri Rama was so likable, that males thought they were women. His qualities attract us to Him. Even enemies like Sisupala, are attracted by His enchanting beauty.
