12. OM MUKTHANAM PARAMAGATHAYE NAMA:
Destination of those attaining Mukthi.
We are at the sannidhi established by Sri Mukkur Swami. His way of Thiruvaradanam, was a treat to see. Many have reached the noble path by his lectures. We are blessed to have today's [5th March 2008] lecture in this sannidhi. The Lord confers the highest position to those who attain Moksham. Only, a person capable of giving a thing can grant the same. When we surrender in saranagathi, in the presence of an Acharya, He grants that supreme position with guarantee of no return to samsaram. Vedas mention that jeevatma are classified into three groups - baddha, muktha and nithya. Baddhas are all of us bound by karma and living in this Universe. By His mercy, some of these baddhas get Moksham or Sri Vaikuntam. Such atma are called muktha or the released [from samsaram]. Anantha [Adisesha], Garuda, Vishvaksena, etc., have never been born in this samsaram and are in Vaikuntam for ever. They are classified as Nithya. They ar in the continuous and intimate service of the Lord. He is the One and Only, Who knows the cure for our sufferings of repeated births, says Alwar. He is the Doctor and He is the medicine. Parama gathi means there is no superior path to Moksham.
