SVS 213 [Sandhiman 204 continued] (22.5 contd.)

204. OM SANDHIMATE NAMA:

Swami Sankaracharya has composed Karavalamba stothram on Sri Narasimha. His description of the Lord aptly fits Sri Malola Narasimha. He prays Sri Narasimha to lift him from samsaram and hell. Utsavar of Sri Malola Narasimha is accompanied by the pontiff of Sri Ahobila mutt, Srimad Azhagiyasingar, on tour all over India. When visiting Ahobilam, Azhagiyasingar, performs special poojas for both Moolavar and Utsavar of Sri Malola Narasimha. This is a rare incident and is called Serthi [சேர்த்தி in Tamil, means together]. Since Utsavar Sri Malola is on tour, we can notice the Lord is wearing the sandal [பாதுகை पादुका ] on the right foot, so that He is ready to start on tour! Left foot is folded and is on the seat and so it is not visible. Azhagiyasingars are therefore, titled Sri Lakshmi Narasimha paduka sevaka. There is a spring behind this sannidhi, from which water flows always. The stream thus flowing is called Kanaka nadhi [கனக நதி]. These natural resources should be preserved and maintained free of pollution. Bhadra word in Mantra Rajan is dedicated to Sri Malola Narasimha. Sri Rama is known as Sri Ramabhadra and Sri Balarama is called Sri Bala Bhadra. To indicate them bhadra has to be prefixed or suffixed. But mere Bhadra indicates only Sri Narasimha.
