SVS 160 [Suchir - 157] (17.5)

157. OM SUCHAYE NAMA: सुचये नम:
Possesses Purity of not expecting thanks for help done to His devotees.

By the Divine name amogha: we could understand the Lord's intentions. Amogha also means that the relationship would never go waste. Most of our worldly relationships are never permanent nor pleasant. But the relationship with the Lord is permanent and always happy. Suchi: means Pure. Here, purity should not be interpreted as done earlier. But the Lord does not expect any rewards or thanks for all the help He gave. Indra got back his property. He did not do anything in return. Maha Bali also was rewarded for his Bhakti, by making him the ruler of the nether worlds -Pathala; not merely that, the Lord is ever guarding Pathala, as Sri Vamana, so that Maha Bali did not get any trouble from others. He does not expect anything from His devotees; but we do it for our satisfaction. The maximum He expects is anjali or salute with folded hands! Anjali means, A, which means the Lord, is transformed into ice - another form of jalam or water; and so melts in compassion!
