Sri Trivikrama is next stage to Sri Vamana. Near Srirangam Main gopuram, there is a sannidhi for Sri Vamana [திருக் குறளப்பன் சந்நிதி]. Sri Trivikrama can be seen in Kazhi Sri Rama vinnagaram [ also known as Sirkazhi], Thirukkovalur and Thiru Ooragam [ near Kanchi]. Pramshu means growing to gigantic form. Swami Desika describes this growth. Before He grew, the galaxy of stars were on the sky like an umbrella. But as the Lord grew, initially the stars appeared as diamond studded crown for the Lord. A little later, when the Lord grew larger, the stars appeared as necklace for the Lord. After some time, they appeared as the waist belt [ஒட்டியாணம்], for the Lord. Finally, they appeared as the anklet at His feet! After striding Two steps by which all the 14 worlds were measured for acquisition, Maha Bali, out of humility, offered his head as the place for the Third step. The Lord wanted to bless him and not destroy him and so offered him all the nether worlds for him to rule. He blessed both Indra and Maha Bali alike.
